Easter treats for patients across our hospitals It’s been a busy few days at Oxford Hospitals Charity as we’ve been working with many generous local businesses and groups who have donated eggs and treats for our amazing young patients at the Oxford Children’s Hospital and Horton Children’s Ward. A big thank you to the fantastic teams at David Lloyd Oxford and Skipton Building Society, who dropped off big piles of Easter eggs. The Horton General Children's Ward also got a special delivery of Easter eggs and goodies, thanks to the generous team from DHL Delivery Supply Chain. Careys Construction and Oxford Crematorium also visited our charity hub with huge deliveries of Easter eggs, colouring books, craft activities and teddies for patients to kick off the Easter fun. To round off an incredible week, our friends at Play2Give visited the hospital with a record-breaking delivery of Easter eggs, collected from across Oxfordshire through their Easter Egg Appeal! Thank you to everyone who generously donated eggs, which are being shared with patients of all ages across the Children’s Hospital, Neurology, Heart wards and the Churchill Hospital. Adding even more magic to the day, the team was joined by none other than the Play2Give Easter Bunny, handing out eggs and raising plenty of smiles alongside our good sport Jamie from the Hub, who was dressed as a giant carrot! Just another normal day at the office for Jamie! Lorna Eaton from Supporter Care at the charity said: “A massive thank you to all who have supported us this Easter, there are plenty of smiles on faces and chocolates in tummies, thanks to the local support we have received.” Thank you to everyone for helping to make Easter a little brighter for those spending it in hospital - your kindness makes a big difference.
