Our Charity Our Latest News The OX5 RUN is back for 2026! Bigger and better than ever, the OX5 RUN returns on Sunday, 22nd March. This annual event promises to be an unforgettable day of fun and fundraising in support of the Oxford Children’s Hospital and children’s services across Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Taking place at the iconic Blenheim Palace, this flagship five-mile event invites runners, walkers, families, teams, and supporters of all ages to join hundreds of others in raising vital funds for young patients across Oxfordshire. This much-loved fun run has been a firm favourite of people from across Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties for nearly 25 years, including many families who have been impacted by the care and support provided by the Oxford Children’s Hospital. Families, such as the Hammond family from Woodstock, return to this event year after year. In fact, this year is the tenth year of them coming together to support the Oxford Children’s Hospital. Lynne Hammond said: “This year marks our 10th year taking part in the OX5 RUN, which we first joined when our daughter Eliza was diagnosed with bilateral cataracts. Since then, both Eliza and our son Charlie have undergone major eye operations at Oxford Eye Hospital to save their sight. “The care, expertise and kindness we’ve received over the years has been truly exceptional, and taking part in the OX5 RUN is our way of giving something back to the hospital that has done so much for our family. “Every year, we’re joined by friends and family to run, walk, and cheer together — and it’s always such a special day. We’re so grateful for the ongoing support we receive and are hoping this will be our best year yet!” Claire Hughes, Events Co-ordinator at Oxford Hospitals Charity, said: “We’re calling upon people in the Oxford community to join us at the OX5 RUN. This is such a special event that brings people together to support the Oxford Children’s Hospital. Every year, the atmosphere is filled with amazing energy and happiness, and what makes it such a great event is that it welcomes participants of all abilities. Some people come to race for a personal best, while others choose to walk the route and enjoy the stunning surroundings of Blenheim Palace. It’s a highlight in the charity’s calendar, and something we look forward to year after year.” Information on how to sign up for the event can be found at: www.ox5run.com Manage Cookie Preferences
